NEW DVD EXAMINES QUESTION, “DOES GOD EXIST?”

LANGLEY, BC—It is a question that has echoed through the ages. Every human being who has ever looked up at the sky has wondered about it. Some have been completely certain in their convictions; others have pondered and considered and philosophized their entire lives. The question is at the core of who we are as people…

“Does God exist?”

God Stories Volume 2, a new DVD produced by Langley filmmaker Trent Reynolds, examines this question by delving into the testimonies of five different people.
These true stories, told by the people who lived them, include dramatizations, photos and other documentation. Their stories are absolutely incredible:

• Doug Kooy, a veteran broadcaster, talks about overcoming a self-destructive lifestyle through the help and encouragement of people like Pat Boone and Andre Crouch.

• Heidi Cave, a motivational speaker, shares her story of hope after losing both her legs and being severely burned in an Abbotsford automobile accident caused by a drunk driver. Cave’s God Story was used as the centerpiece for World Service Vancouver, a benefit concert that raised more than $20,000 for the Vancouver Professional Firefighters’ Burn Fund.

• Ian Clayton, an international speaker, talks about a miraculous healing and other incredible spiritual experiences.

• Daniel Snyder, a drug and alcohol counselor, shares his story of redemption and hope after being addicted to heroin.

• Phil Duggan, a former youth pastor, tells of a spiritual vision that helped change a young student’s life.

The DVD is hosted by Lifetime Initiatives CEO Karen Padgett, and is designed for people who are looking for evidence as they question the existence of God.
“In a courtroom, one relies on the testimony of witnesses,” said Reynolds. “The stories told by these five people should be considered as expert testimony on the existence of God. Their unique and providential experiences are difficult to dismiss.”
God Stories The Series is the creation of Reynolds, an award-winning camera operator and film producer. In February 2003, Reynolds was driving a co-worker home when he became gripped with despair and fear. “I had never experienced anything like that before,” Reynolds said. After dropping his passenger off, Reynolds began to pray—and God Stories was born.
“As I drove away, I immediately began to see and be deeply impacted by pictures of people telling me their stories about God,” Reynolds said. “The dark depression that had engulfed the car completely lifted. I kept seeing people telling me their God stories, and felt hope, life and truth bubbling up inside of me. I knew I had to share what I had just experienced.”
In January, 2004, Reynolds released God Stories Volume 1, an instant hit that included testimonies from international speaker Graham Cooke and homemaker Laura Rowden. Greater Vancouver Youth for Christ director Andy Harrington, pastor Ruth Rousu, and author Murray Dueck were also featured.
