About Friends Langley Vineyard

Friends Langley Vineyard was founded in 1985 when John Wimber blessed and released a team of thirty people to plant and lead the new church.

The Langley Vineyard grew rapidly. Worship became a major value of the church, birthing the ministries of songwriters and musicians such as Brian Doerksen, Andy Park, Daphne Rademaker, Craig Musseau, Brian Thiessen, Chris Janzen, Dean Salyn, Rod True, Peter Davyduck, Eran Vooys, John Paul Vooys, Iain Lovatt, Eric Janzen, She Says Electric, and others who serve as worship leaders in Langley and around the world. The church also launched several social justice initiatives, including Langley's food bank, free store, and a series of day camps at an inner city school.

In the late 1990s, the church changed its name to Friends Langley Vineyard to reflect its highest value, friendship with God and friendship with each other. Under the leadership of Jesse and Karen Padgett, Friends Langley Vineyard has focused on the values of friendship, discipleship, teamwork, worship, evangelism, and experiencing the Holy Spirit. Friends Langley Vineyard meets every Sunday at 10 a.m. For more information, see our website, www.langleyvineyard.com.
